Newness

Revelation 21:5 (The New King James Version)
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

We are now in a new year. And while everyone is talking about the “new year” it’s the same old, same old. People are making new resolutions and promises.

Which will lead to new failures and broken promises.

Often then people will just wait till next year to try all over again.

But what if there was something different?

What if I told you about a way to truly change and see the world the way it was intended?

Through the eyes of Jesus Christ.

This world is cursed by sin and the wages of sin is death. We are all flawed and fall short of the Glory of God.

But does God look down on us? Does God hate us?

No, God loves us. He made us in His image and sent His son Jesus to die in our place so we can be reconciled to Him and have eternal life.

When you accept Christ, the Holy Spirit will indwell in you and you can truly change when you live by the Spirit of God.

Not only will you be saved from Hell but you can also be transformed through sanctification. Go see and hear testimonies from people whose entire lives have been changed through Jesus Christ.

Not only can your life be transformed by Jesus now but also there will be a day where He will make all things new. No more pain, no more suffering, no more sin.

But you know what? That is not even the Good News of the Gospel. You see I am sure many people may read this and say, “I’m good. I am fine the way that I am, if I need change I can do it my way. I don’t need Jesus.”

But let me ask you this, does your way get you out of hell?

Because Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. That no man comes to the Father except through Him. When you stand before God who is a righteous judge will you attempt to show yourself and your good works as means to save yourself?

A righteous judge can not let you go without justice. But if you accept Jesus’ sacrifice as payment for your sins you will not face hell.

So I ask you to please…

Remember God’s resolution.

Remember God’s promise.

Remember His Word.

And Have a Blessed Week,
Chris

There Will Be a Day (Jeremy Camp):

New Year 2022

It’s a new year and it is also a snow day in my town. We don’t get many snow days anymore where I live. Nice to have a big one especially since the Christmas decorations are still out.

Any who, I hope everyone had a nice week now it’s time to focus on the topic at hand.

One of the common themes of my blog is “The World vs. God”. With the new year being here the world is trying to set goals and resolutions for 2022. It’s all about how to make you better and make your life better. Many make these goals and fail quickly, leading to them having the same new goals and resolutions the following year.

I wrote before that you don’t need a new year just a new moment with God.

And that’s true, furthermore though God makes all things new and He can make you new as well. If we focus on Him, trust in Him and submit to Him than “our goals” can instead become about becoming the person God wants us to be instead of the person we want to be.

Have a Blessed Year,
Chris

PS-The blog I just wrote was directed at believers but the truth is if you’re out there reading this and our not a Christian, I want to tell you something even better than a new life from goals and resolutions.

I want to tell you about the new life and only true new life which can be found in Jesus Christ.

The truth is nothing in or on this world can truly make you a new person, you will always have your past and no matter what you do you cannot fully make up for sins and transgressions.

The only hope you have to a truly new life and new beginning is if you give your life to Jesus Christ.

He died for your sins and then rose from the dead so whoever believes in Him can have eternal life. Surrender your life and have faith in God, for it is your only way to be saved and to be truly a new person.

Scripture Reading Plan:

New Year, New Life with God

Happy New Year everyone!

It is a New Year that means for many it’s a new opportunity to change their lives. We hype this time of the year up as if it is magical but in reality many fail in their resolutions. I stopped doing New Year’s resolutions as I always failed them and it made the New Year very stressful. They’re just not for me, if they are for you then great, I wish you luck and I’ll be praying for you.

Many may mock you but it is because they’re stuck in their ways and wish they could change.

The truth is though, you all out there can be successful in change, even the ones that scoff and mock. Just because you failed in the past doesn’t mean you will fail today.

The best first step is to go to God.

With God He can make all things new. I’ve seen memes where they say, “You don’t need a new year just a Monday.”

Well with God you don’t need a new year or a Monday; you just need a new moment.

Right now everything can change for you.

My entire life has been different since I started having a relationship with God.

I have seen change in myself and others around me, I have seen miracles both small and big. When you give your life to Christ, you will see how God will take care of you.

God has taken care of my wife and I in so many ways, I wish I could list them all here today. I should be writing more about the ways God has effected my life in order to show the love of God and His wondrous works.

Well, would look at that, maybe I do have a New Year’s resolution.

But I digress.

Please pledge your life to Christ today.

If you have fallen away, recommit your life to Christ today.

Don’t just start a new year, don’t just start a new week, start your new life today.

Have a blessed week,
Chris

Here are three great Bible verses for you………….today.

2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
