To My Wife

This Thursday it will be Twelve years since I met my wife Jane. When we met she was originally not a Christian, I didn’t realize that later she would end up strengthening my faith more and more. She has been a huge blessing in my life. I can’t imagine life without her. I thank the Lord for placing her in my life, she has been a gift for almost twelve years and every day I am blessed to be with her.

Husbands out there treasure your wife and treat her as a gift. Here is some scripture to show how we should treat our wives.

Ephesians 5:25-30 English Standard Version

“25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.[a] 28 In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30 because we are members of his body.”

Love God and love your wife.

Have a Blessed Week,
Chris

Father’s Day 2020: You Will Always Have a Father

Happy Father’s Day’s to all the fathers out there who are reading this.

My wife and I’s fathers passed away a few years ago so this day can be a somber day for us. I know this is true for many people as their fathers have also passed away and  sadly for some they may never have truly know their father or any father.

If any of that describes how you feel I want to tell you, today can still be joyous.

Because while our earthly fathers might not still be in our life or ever were in our life we have THE Father who is there and who wants to have a personal relationship with us.

If you’re missing your dad or never felt fatherly love from someone know that God made you, God loves you and God is your Father.

I thank God for everything He is done for me, I thank God for creating me and I thank God for creating my earthly father Richard and my wife’s earthly father Ralph. Both who brought blessings and wonderful moments in my life.

Thank you God, Thank you Father, I love you. Happy Father’s Day.

Have a Blessed Week,
Chris

Faith and Healing.

This is an old message that is fitting for what’s going on right now in my family’s life and it is a message to remember in any time of life.

The Good Word

My wife is young,  she’s only 30. (Sorry honey). I mean she’s only 29 for the second time in a row. But even at her young age she is already dealing with arthritis.

The other night the pain in her hand was so severe she couldn’t concentrate on anything. She described it as feeling like a hot knife was piercing through her hand. After awhile and a lot of agony, she told me she didn’t know what to do about it.

I asked her to pray with me. I put my hand on top of hers  and we prayed silently. The pain ceased immediately. It was a miracle. God is good.

Well a few days past, the wife and I were both stressed. I’m finishing up my job at the end of June and we don’t know what’s next for me. This has led to bickering, doubt, depression, anger. Then…

Nine Year Anniversary

I was going to mention this in my weekly blog that Sunday was my wife and I’s Nine Year Anniversary.

But when I thought that I heard God say, “Doesn’t she deserve her own entry?”

Yes she does, Lord.

Nine years ago today I met the love of my life. She credits me with introducing her to God. The Lord is the one who deserves all the credit.

I tried to talk with her about God by myself and it really didn’t go well. After praying for a long time, He softened her heart.

So many people drew her closer to the Lord not just myself.

I can’t emphasize enough how much it meant to me the day she accepted God into her heart.

She has helped mold me into the man I am today. Her and God teamed up and changed my life.

I treasure her and thank God for giving Jane to me.

Thank you Lord.
Thank you Jane.
I love you both always,
Chris
