Evangelism Part One: The Gospel By Paul Washer

I have been thinking a lot about evangelism and it’s importance. How in reality it is the most important thing we can do on this Earth. We must spread The Gospel, it is our mission and nothing else matters unless we do. Truth is I struggle to spread The Gospel, I do so by writing but I find it hard to do so in person. Recently I was blessed to a be given the opportunity to present The Gospel to my best friend from High School. It was an amazing opportunity and I thank God for that.

The importance of Evangelism and my own need to learn about evangelism is why I am going to start a series on Evangelism that hopefully will answer some questions.

Now out the gate we may want to ask how? But first let’s answer the question what is The Gospel?

Here is a brilliant explanation by Paul Washer.

I hope this series will not only help me but those who read this as well.

Have a Blessed Week,
Chris

To me, the gospel is, and evangelism is, ‘Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.’ I am the gospel, ‘if so be the Spirit of God be in me.. known and read of all men.’ The gospel is a living relationship with God in everyday life.

I don’t think our focus is the gospel or evangelism, rather, ‘manifesting Christ in our mortal flesh.’ It’s BEING the gospel–being ‘hid with Christ in God’ so that he flows out of me. ‘If they should hold their peace, the stones will cry out.’

You said it, “the fall of man.” Ponder… The prodigal son, John 10:34, Psalm 82:5-7, The Book of Jude, 2 Peter 2, Psalm 73:16-28, and many more dear friend. Stay blessed and seeking Him and Him alone in all things.
