This week’s Throwback Thursday post is from October 2018. I would have added a few things in this post if it was written today but I’m going to leave that out. A story from the Bible has been on my mind for a while.  I believe it truly captures Jesus’ love perfectly.

What Do You Do? You Pray

Throwback Thursday. This post is from 2019. It is more relevant for me today than it was two years ago. I have gotten more and more into Biblical Study and Apologetics in the past two years and I have seen more extreme angry than ever before towards God and those who argue for Him and His Word.

The Good Word

I see many questions about God from atheists who have anger in their hearts.

They want evidence, they want proof and they demand answers.

Now the truth is I have seen many Christians ranging from your average person to highly educated apologetics present many different types of evidence from archaeological to scientific to historical to even personal accounts but they are never believed.

Often times when you do present your views they become angry and say harsh things and take a nasty tone to God. Many are upset that we even had answers to their questions.

They call their views “rational” and say they have “logic” and “reason”.

Which even in a polite conversation when you use those words to describe your atheist views we can assume since our beliefs are the opposite of the atheist that they believe our views are, “irrational”, “illogical” and “unreasonable”.

Evangelism Part Three: The Christian’s Motivation

There is a question about Evangelism that should be addressed before we move forward. 

The question is, what is the motivation for Christians to evangelize?

There of course is many but to me there is three important motivations.

First and foremost, we are told by God to do so. We are called to preach the Gospel to all nations.

Second since we have established before that salvation comes through faith alone we must tell this to people.

No other “god” can save them, no good works, it doesn’t matter if you think you’re a good person. The only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ. The only way to be saved is through faith in God.

We as Christians know this so we must be motivated to urgently spread the Gospel. We must have a desire for others to be saved not just ourselves. So spread the Gospel no matter what. It will take sacrifice and dedication. You may lose friends, loved ones, money, pleasures, you may even risk your life but it is what we must do.

Think of it this way, if you were in a burning building and managed to escape and you knew it was the only way. It would be cruel to just walk away from the building and be content with yourself being saved. You  need to do everything in your power to show those in the building how to be saved from the fire. Some may resist, some may not believe you, some may attack you but in the end you have to try and get them out of the flames.

But evangelism is more urgent than a burning building that could kill your body. Eternity is on the line! Stay motivated.

Finally we pray that God’s Kingdom will come on Earth as it is in Heaven, well we must be the Kingdoms representatives on Earth in order to assist in bringing His Kingdom to Earth. 

He doesn’t need us to but He wants us to. He is our Lord, He is our King, He is our God.

So we must do what our Lord says.

Manipulating the Bible

Having been studying theology the last year and a half I find this post from 2018 more relevant in my life then ever.

The Good Word

This is going to be a short post. It saddens me to see so many manipulate scripture to fit their own narrative of God and what God wants. I know that sounds harsh but when a person points out their favorite Bible verses to prove their opinion of God or how someone should act, it is exactly that, manipulating the Word of God. It is extremely important to take a FULL Bible approach.

Today I saw someone arrogantly “LOL” someone’s comment and post a line of scripture as if God had one line for all situations. The person could have easily found another line from scripture to disprove what she said.

Does that mean the Bible contradicts itself? Absolutely not. God knows that situations are different, the World is not Black and White. That is why you have to get grasp of the full Bible, the full story before you…

Evangelism Part Two: Why Evangelism Is So Important

As we all know or at least hear Evangelism is very important. Today I am going to discuss why that is.

First and foremost, salvation comes through faith alone so it is our job to play our part in bringing the Gospel to the unbeliever.

No man can save themselves it is only Jesus Christ who saves, therefore we must we show this to the world.

No good deeds, no personality traits or even moral beliefs can save you.

Someone can believe that all the things God tells us is righteous is good and they can believe all things that are wicked to be wrong but if they don’t believe in God then they’re just as hell bound as anyone else.  

But some might ask why even bother? Can’t God just save who He wants to save?

The answer is simple because it is a direct order from God Himself.

Even if you’re a Five Point Calvinist you would point this out. It is what we are called to do.

So there can be no debate about the importance of Evangelism.

Throwback Thursday From October 2018

The Good Word

*First off I would like to thank my wife Jane and of course the Lord for this blog post idea. I was having a bit of trouble coming up with a topic this week and we prayed on it over breakfast and it came to Jane from God.* 

My favorite season is here, fall and it is beautiful. Thinking of the word fall it makes me think of the fall of humanity. We as a people fell and despite this God showed His love by sending the Son to die for our sins, it is a beautiful story.

During fall when a tree’s leaves die they are beautiful in their death and after a time the tree’s leaves are resurrected, during the beginning of spring, which actually coincides with the time of Jesus resurrection (Easter).

Jesus’ death was gruesome and horrific but the message of why He did it is…
