Faith and Healing.

This is an old message that is fitting for what’s going on right now in my family’s life and it is a message to remember in any time of life.

The Good Word

My wife is young,  she’s only 30. (Sorry honey). I mean she’s only 29 for the second time in a row. But even at her young age she is already dealing with arthritis.

The other night the pain in her hand was so severe she couldn’t concentrate on anything. She described it as feeling like a hot knife was piercing through her hand. After awhile and a lot of agony, she told me she didn’t know what to do about it.

I asked her to pray with me. I put my hand on top of hers  and we prayed silently. The pain ceased immediately. It was a miracle. God is good.

Well a few days past, the wife and I were both stressed. I’m finishing up my job at the end of June and we don’t know what’s next for me. This has led to bickering, doubt, depression, anger. Then…

The Narrow Path is the Right Path

The Narrow Path is narrow because there is only one way, Jesus.

Follow Him and it leads to Heaven.

Look at the alternatives they all come down to works. Make sure to do this, do that, follow this, follow that. And if you are good enough you may get into paradise.

Confusion, anxiety, depression and overall pain come on this path.

That path may seem broad with more opportunity but in reality that path is on shaky ground filled with bumps, holes, entrapments and along the way many, many snakes.

But God offers the narrow path, the straight path right to Him. Just follow the Lord.

If you went hiking and there were two paths one was narrow and led straight to where you were going and the other was filled with rough terrain where you had to find your way all on your own which would you chose?

Some may decide to take the rough road as they see it as a challenge. But when they arrive to their destination, dirty, tired, hurt which path do you think they will take back?

If they chose to go the same way back it would be quite foolish.

Unfortunately many take that path their whole lives and still believe it is easier.

But we know the truth, we know the way and we know the life.

And we will come to the Father through Him.

Have a Blessed Week,

Chris

Hearing God and God’s Love

Re-blogging this from last year with Valentine’s Day upcoming. Hope everyone has a good week.

The Good Word

My wife shared a nice story with me about her Valentine’s Day commute to work. She told me right as she parked, she said, “Happy Valentine’s Day God, I love you.”

She heard a loud booming voice say, “I love you too.”

She told me she had to hold back tears as she walked into work.

I love that story and it is one I will always remember.

Many Christian’s want God to talk to them but can’t hear Him. The best advice I can give is the more you listen, the more God will talk, the more you talk to God the more opportunity He has to talk to you.

Go to a quiet place and pray, remember Jesus did this. Follow His example to get closer to Him.

The key is to calm your brain and listen.

Remember how much you don’t like it when someone won’t let…
