Through Christ

Philippians 4:13 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

I wrote about the importance of this Bible verse to me. Today I want to write about the importance of the verse overall.

Every obstacle or challenge, whether it be a financial problem or a family problem or a sickness or whether it be spiritual, through grief, through strife, through sin and addiction anything and every battle can be faced by just looking at this verse.

There is hope in this verse, all things are possible through this verse.

Truly all things are possible through Christ, we see this not just in this verse but throughout the New Testament.

The blind saw, the hungry were fed with little, the dead were raised, demons were defeated, sinners immersed deep in their sin were saved, miracle after miracle.

We are saved through Christ, He chose to die for our sins, all we have to do is accept His sacrifice.

There is hope in God, He believes in you, believe in Him.

Honor Him, love Him, do all things through Him.

Thank you God, truly I can do all things through You who strengthens me.

Have a blessed week,
Chris

Thanksgiving

It’s Thanksgiving time, a perfect time to reflect and be thankful for what God has given us, family, love, finances, forgiveness, salvation, so many things.

Take the time and think about it and pretty much everything you have can be credited to the Lord.

The blessings from God I have received are endless, from my family, the good times and bad, He is always there to provide for my wife and I.

Thank you God.

Have a blessed week,
Chris

God’s Birthday Gift To Me

Philippians 4:13 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

That is one of the most important verses in the Bible. It is something I repeat to myself and pray about when I am scared or anxious or feeling depressed.

The only One who knew this was God, it was one of our special prayers.

However, recently  I have been feeling depressed about a few things, the biggest being my writing. I am trying to be a children’s author and the process of finding an agent is very difficult, you put a lot of effort in to querying and most agencies will only send a reply if they’re interested.

This can become frustrating and makes me question if I am good enough.

I have been struggling to even continue writing.

While all this is going on my birthday came and my wife did a great job throwing me a mini party, it was a lot of fun, yet nice and relaxing. She handed me one of my last gifts, it was a small box.

I opened it, it was a wooden pen with a Bible Verse,
Philippians 4:13 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

I couldn’t believe it. I had never told her how special that verse was to me and haven’t  even opened up to her about my struggle lately.

How amazing is that?

It truly was a gift from God.

I am very blessed man, thank you God for everything.

Thank you God for my wonderful wife, she is the best gift I have ever received.

Have a blessed week,
Chris

The Relief of Grace

One of the saddest things to hear is when an atheist describes abandoning their belief in God as a relief.

Truly if that is your belief than you really missed the God of the Bible.

If someone has caused you to feel this way whether a member of church or your family, you must remember that is not God’s intention.

Trust the Word of God, not words from man.

Read and study the Bible and you will see that despite everything people did, God was always there to save them. He took extreme measures to save us out of love.

God is not wearing you down, that is your own mind that has been conditioned into believing you have to be perfect or face Hell.

God’s commandments are not anything abnormal, the majority of countries laws follow the same standard.

One big difference, is grace. Try committing a crime, then apologizing and see how you the police and court handle you. Will they absolve you?

But with God if you accept Jesus’ sacrifice you are forgiven of sins, that doesn’t mean you won’t face Earthly consequences but you will obtain the Kingdom of Heaven.

How amazing is that?

Is that a God who is overbearing and cruel?

Grace is love, Grace is relief.

Accept God’s grace and you won’t want to sin. Of course you will stumble but when you do, go right back to God.

When you see how much God loves you and you love God you aren’t afraid of going to Hell, rather afraid that you will hurt the One who loves you more than all.

To my Christian brothers and sisters, we must remember to not abuse that grace, don’t sin knowing He will just figure you anyway. That is what people do in abusive relationships. They know the one they claim to love will continue to love them no matter what, so they continue to do wrong as a free pass. Don’t do that to the Lord.

This next sentence may come off as a bit harsh but I feel like it needs to be said. I want to emphasize don’t use the Word of God as a weapon to bully others or make yourself feel powerful. God is the powerful One. He sees your own sins and tells us to worry about them before we begin to try and remove other peoples.

Jesus came to save, He spoke of Hell as a warning not a tool to force belief.

God is love.

Thank you God for you love and grace.

Have a blessed week,
Chris
